Ten years ago today darling. 23rd October 1999. The very first time we set eyes on each other. Our very first date. I remember you opening the front door and when I saw you for the first time, I thought "Wow", how could I be so lucky to meet such a beautiful woman on a blind date. You told me, years later, that as we went out to the car, you turned to Sarah with a big smile on your beautiful face, and gave her a 'double thumbs up'! We went to the Ramblers Rest for lunch. You had to guide me there as in those days, I was a total stranger to the area. We sat and shared sweet and sour pork and rice and felt so comfortable in each others' company. We talked so easily with no awkwardness or embarrassment. If was as if we had known each other for years. That was the start of our journey through life together darling. A wonderful 9 years together. I loved you from that very first week darling and shall love you until I draw my final breath. We had some wonderful times together sweetheart. Maybe it is as well that we didn't know what the future held. At least we spent our early years together in total innocence of what lay ahead of us. I will always remember our unoffficial anniversary as well as our real one darling. Because both dates were the happiest two days of my life. The day I first met you, and the day we became husband and wife. I love you so so much darling and miss you with all my heart. Wait for me darling until we can be together once again.
