Our third Christmas without you darling, and it is no easier than the first two. I awoke to a still, silent house this morning sweetheart. Not like when you were here with us. Every Christmas Eve you always put a glass of sherry and a mince pie out for Santa and a carrot for Rudolf. Even though we were all adults, you still carried on the tradition that was passed down to you by your parents. Christmas morning we would all sit and have breakfast and Bucks Fizz together before we all sat down and opened our presents to each other. I loved to see the excitement and happiness on your face as you opened your Christmas gifts darling. Now Christmas morning is lonely and quiet without you my love. Even though I spent the day with Matt, Fiona, Sarah and the boys it could never be the same. As we sat at the table eating our Christmas dinner, I sat looking at your photo on the windowsill darling. Looking at your beautiful smile and then at the empty space at the table. Looking at the 'Santas' little Helper' hat on the back of the chair, that you wore one Christmas morning and we all laughed so much at the photo we took of you wearing it. We are carrying on as a family darling as you would have wanted and you were in our hearts and thoughts all day Wend. I love you and miss you so much darling, especially today. Stay close to me always sweetheart. Your loving husband, Ian XXXXX
